Renal Stone Study that includes:
Renal Stone Composition: Chemical analytic study of the renal stone composition by infrared espectroscopy (IR) or scanning electron microscopy(SEM) with X-ray microanalysis (EDAX).
Renal Stone structure: Morphological macroscopic study by magnifying stereoscopy glass and renal stone microscopy structure study by scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
Etiology (formation cause): The knowledge of the renal stone structure and their composition allows the establishment of the implied formation factors as well as the recommendations on possible treatments.
Diagnostic Test of the urinary litogen risk (TULR): Test carried out under standardized conditions, using recently voided urine. This test allows to evaluate the risk of forming calcium renal stones.
Determination of Renal Lithiasis inhibitors: Analytic determination and urinary excretion of renal lithiasis inhibitors such as citrate, phytate, pyrophosphate, etc.
