Formació i trajectòriaDoctor en Geografia per la Universitat de Barcelona (1997). Vaig fer l'estada postdoctoral a la Loughborough University (UK) l'any 1998. He fet estades de recerca a la Ben Gurion University (Israel), a l'USDA Forest Service Pacific Southwest Research Station (EEUU), la Universitat de Glasgow (Escòcia) i la Universitat de California a Berkeley (EEUU). Professor al Departament de Geografia (abans Ciències de la Terra) de la Universitat de les Illes Balears des l'Octubre de 1998.La meva recerca es centra en: i) geomorfologia fluvial (efectes del hydropeaking sobre l'inici del moviment en rius de grava, transport de sediments, evolució de la xarxa fluvial), ii) hidrologia en cursos d'aigua temporals mediterrànis (anàlisi de series temporals, hidrologia de cabals zero i ecologia fluvial), iii) els recursos hídrics en medis insulars (gestió de l'aigua, consum d'aigua en zones urbanes i turístiques, tarifes de l'aigua) i iv) la fotografia aèria històrica per avaluar els canvis en el paisatge a llarg termini.Projectes de recerca més recents- 2024-26.
