Llicenciat en Economia i Empresa per la UIB (1995). Doctor en Economia per la UIB (2000) amb premi extraordinari.

Experiència docent en estudis d'Administració d'Empreses, d'Economia i de Turisme, impartint assignatures d'economia financera. Ha estat director del Departament d'Economia de l'Empresa de la UIB (2016-2024). Ha estat codirector del Màster en Assessoria Financera i Gestió Patrimonial de la UIB. Secretari de Departament d'Economia de l'Empresa de la UIB de 2007 A al 2016.

Investigador especialitzat en economia financera amb publicacions revistes internacionals del camp de les finances i de l'empresa.

Premi al millor treball de renda variable del Finance Forum 2009 (AEFIN), i al millor treball en temes de regulació del Finance Forum 2013 (AEFIN).Investigador en Projectes d'Investigació Competitius des de 2001, investigador principal en la convocatòria de 2017.

Ponent de l'Observatori de Govern Corporatiu de la Fundació d'Estudis Financers, dependent de l'Institut d'Analistes Financers (2006-2010). Editor Associat del Spanish Journal of Finance and Accounting des de 2020.
