1. RESUM

The second call for Modular project proposals will open, but only three types of projects will be allowed:
•“Testing” projects (M2)
•“Capitalising” projects (M3)
•“Integrated” projects: “studying” (M1) + “testing” (M2)+ “capitalising” (M3)

No other types of projects will be allowed.

Applicants will be able to apply for one specific objective only and applications are not open to all specific objectives:
•For “Testing” (M2) projects, the following specific objectives are open:
Specific objective 1.1
Specific objectives 3.2
•For “Capitalising” projects (M3), the following specific objectives are open:
Specific objective 1.1
Specific objectives 3.1 and 3.2
•For “Integrated” projects, the following specific objectives are open:
Specific objective 1.1
Specific objective 2.3
Specific objective 3.1 and 3.2

ERDF AND IPA ALLOCATIONS

The indicative ERDF allocation for this call is 65M€, i.e. :
•35M€ for “integrated” projects
•15M€ for M2 projects
•15M€ M3 for M3 projects
The final allocation is subject to further decisions of the Interreg MED Programme Monitoring Committee.

The indicative IPA allocation for this call is 2,6M€; i.e. :
•1,4M€ for “integrated” projects
•1,2M€ for M2/M3 projects

2. TIPUS DE PROJECTES

The module-based approach responds to the need to exploit in an optimal way the diversity of competences, characteristics and proposals of each partner structure, offering them a variety of operational combinations instead of a uniform operational model, similar to the 2007-2013 programme period.

Choosing the appropriate module, the partnership can focus on well identified types of activities bringing a concrete contribution to the delivery of the tackled specific objective. It can target and adapt the project to the focus and quality requirements of the European Commission and the MED area States. Each applicant can optimise its role and activities according to its expertise and skills, defining its role on the basis of its technical or institutional profile.

Three different modules have been defined by the Interreg MED Programme:
1.Module 1: Studying; a phase of study and development of strategies and policies
2.Module 2: Testing; a phase of testing, to validate the hypothesis developed
3.Module 3: Capitalising; a phase of transferability and capitalisation of results at the transnational level

A modular project can be composed by one or several modules depending on its strategy and main objectives, expected results, competences and experience of the partnership. Each one of the possible configurations (single-module or multi-module) is called a type of project.

3. TERMINI I PROCEDIMENT

Proposals must be submitted electronically using the on-line monitoring tool of the Interreg MED Programme, SYNERGIE CTE. Please read very carefully the sections 2.2 and 3.1.1 of the Programme Manual to find out about all technical details of the submission. The non-respect of the procedure will entail the non-eligibility of your proposal.
•Project proposals will have to be submitted electronically using the online monitoring tool, SYNERGIE CTE which will open on 30th January 2017 at 12.00 and close on 31 March 2017 at 12:00 (Paris time).
